Recipe Books

All items created in the game in crafting stations require the player know the proper recipe.

You can check the recipes and their material list in the website, but you can only make the items if you know the recipe.

To learn a recipe you need the Recipe Book, and be at the level of the skill required for the book. For example, if a book is for Cooking and is Level 3, you need to be at level 3 in the Cooking skill to be able to learn and use the recipe. You need to learn the recipe only once just attaching the book and clicking on it to read.

Most recipes can be learned reading books around the sim, from books earned in a mission given by a NPC, or earning them during fishing contests, among other sources. Recipes Books can be traded. When you create your account, you get some books for basic recipes in the Welcome Pack. Some limited edition books can be also sold at the game main store, but LE books aren't tradeable (you cannot transfer them).
